El Paso Water Utilities Hosts Water Festival This Weekend
EL PASO – As the region’s historic drought continues, El Paso families are invited to learn about our regional water resources and the importance of water conservation at EPWU’s annual Water Festival.
Games and demonstrations will continue throughout the festival, including musical toilet seats, water bingo, building an edible aquifer, the cloud machine and the rolling river – a hands-on model of how illegal dumping can interfere with El Paso’s stormwater system.
Other scheduled events include:
10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm – Tours of EPWU’s Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant
11am – Recognition of EPWU’s 20-years of conservation by Congressman Reyes
Noon – Presentation on recycling by El Paso Community College
Saturday’s water festival is free and open to the public.
