EL PASO- The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department reminds the public to flatten cardboard boxes before placing them in the blue bins.
Cardboard boxes that are not flattened tend to prevent the bin’s lid from closing. Bins with open lids and/or overflowing materials are not picked up because the bin’s contents and can easily fall to the ground during collection and collection trucks struggle to compact large cardboard boxes that aren’t already flattened.
If you have extra recyclables you may take them to a Citizen Collection Station (CCS) CCS locations:
• 4501 Hondo Pass
• 2492 Harrison
• 121 Atlantic
• 4200 Delta
• 1034 Pendale
•
There is not fee for using the drop-off site for recyclables. Learn more visit: www.RecycleElPaso.org
