El Paso Police Launch Text System For Crime Tips

EL PASO- The El Paso Police Department is launching their Citizen Observers TIP411 system today to help citizens share crime tips more easily.

This free text and web tool allows citizens to submit completely anonymous information at any time, any day to the police department. Your confidential tip will be reviewed and a response will be given to you virtually immediately.

This service will work with any text enabled cell phone. Typical tips include narcotics information, burglary information, subject wanted on warrants, school issues, and drugs or weapons in school.

To send your text:
1. Text TIP to (847411)
2. In the body of the message type EPPD <space>, and your message.
3. Text “STOP” to end conversation
