El Paso Museums To Celebrate National Dance Day Tomorrow
EL PASO- Dancing in the City Summer Concert Series will be celebrating National dance Day on July 30.
The event will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Arts Festival Plaza between the El Paso Museum of Art and the Plaza Theatre.
National Dance Day was created by So You Think You Can Dance Executive Producer/Judge Nigel Lythgoe. National Dance Day is a grassroots initiative that encourages the nation, young and old, to move! Individuals, families, organizations and communities from across the nation come together through their creative expression in dance.
The community is encouraged to attend and learn a fun, choreographed dance to be taught by Shundo Dance Studio. The choreographed dance will be videotaped and submitted to So You Think You Can Dance. The choreographed dance instructions will start at 7pm, followed by a live performance by Havana Son from 8pm-10pm.
Admission is $6 per person or $10 per couple. Admission includes a dance lesson at 7 p.m. and a live music performance from 8 to 10 p.m. Dance lessons will be given by Shundo Ballroom Dance Studio. Tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the event with cash only. An ATM will be available. Outside food or drinks are not allowed. Food and drinks will be for sale at the event.
