Driver Rear-Ends Police Officer

El Paso – A woman crashed into a police car on I-10 while an officer was responding to a traffic collision Sunday morning.

While the officer was outside of the marked police unit, a 28-year old female driver collided with the patrol vehicle. As a result a 5-year old boy was transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The female driver and officer were not injured.

The Mustang sustained extensive damage to the front end and the marked patrol vehicle sustained severe rear-end damage. The driver was issued a citation for Failure to Control Speed Causing a Collision and Failure To Maintain Financial Responsibility (No Insurance).
