A deadly motorcycle wreck in El Paso involved a Texas DPS trooper. Kevin Dorman, 35, was at the helm when his bike crashed on Railroad Drive near Angora Loop yesterday. His passenger, Erica Rivera, 26, was killed in the crash. Neither was wearing a helmet. We talked to Rivera's best friend today, Virginia Varela.

"I feel anger," said Varela. "And even more now because he should've known more laws. If you're gonna get on a bike, put on a helmet or if there was alcohol involved, you shouldn't have done it in the first place. And especially to have an innocent person with him."

Investigators have not said what caused the crash. Trooper Dorman remains in the hospital.

Does not matter if he was in law enforcement or not, both were a child of god, a person and no matter what the circumstances were no one has the right to judge him or her. You really do need prayer and god in your life. May the family of these two individuals forgive your soul. To the family of these two individuals you have my deepest sympathy and my prayers will be with you and your family. I'm very sorry for your lost.

Wheeis everyone hearing this information on her. She wasmy friend in high school and im tryig to find information on what happened andcant seem to find much but everyone seems to know about more then just the accident

where is everyone finding these stories about her leaving her kids in the apament

"Death Penalty" Really? I do think that is a bit drastic considering the circumstances. Both were consenting adults that chose to leave two small children home alone, get on a bike drunk, and crash. Yes sad and tragic, but both are to blame. He should have known better, but as a mother she should have too.

Nothing will happen to him.. He's a state Trooper!!! Just as if he were an EP police officer or border patrol agent.... El Paso News only highlights, keeps us posted on and stresses incidents regarding Fort Bliss Soldiers or County Sherrif Deputies. Break the trend News Channel 9..keep digging... 330 am, im sure there were unlawful circumstances.

If there was alcohol in Dorman's system he should get the death penalty .

I hope no one in your family ever has a tragedy, KARMA will your worse enemy and I pray that people treat you better and speak of you better. You are no one to judge, she was a beautiful and wonderful mother. You should be ashamed of yourself. You need prayer. She was someone's mother, sister, friend, granddaughter, and daughter..this is what you are telling us of our loved one. One day it will be one of your family members, may the lord be with you.
