EL PASO_ We have reaction tonight from El Paso city manager Joyce Wilson about a report that's very critical of the economic development office.

The report by Dr. Edward Feser, a consultant hired by the city to take a closer look at our economy says El Paso is missing some big opportunities to attract businesses and new jobs. City manager Wilson says El Paso needs to focus on making itself seem more livable starting with downtown.

"Performing and sports venues that other communities have that we don't, our park system still needs a lot of infrastructure, our transit system is not a 21st century transit system," says  Wilson.

The city does not have a budget just yet, but city manager Wilson says the city could invest millions of dollars a year to implement the consultant’s recommendations. We'll let you know what happens next.
