SOCORRO- The City of Socorro is still trying to rescue a handful of sick horses by securing a warrant to remove several of the animals from a property, but now, they need a place to put them.

A code enforcement officer thought they looked malnourished, so the city is trying to take them away from the owner, but the owner claims the horses are sick, not under-fed. The city says either way, the owner is breaking the law by having more than two horses on just half-acre property. In order to remove the horses, the city needs a place to put them, but, no one's stepped in to help.
