City of Las Cruces Organizes 50-Plus Walking Group

LAS CRUCES- The City of Las Cruces will be holding more 50-Plus walks for residents 50 years and older.

The 50-Plus Walking Group will be meeting in January in February every day in Tuesday and Thursday at various locations in the city. It’s free to join with a total walking distance of no more than two miles. The group will meet at 9 a.m. at the following locations:

• Tuesday, January 3 - Triviz multi-use path (at the Kohl’s parking lot)
• Thursday, January 5 - La Llorona Park (off Picacho at the Rio Grande)
• Tuesday, January 10 - Las Cruces Dam (behind Albertson’s off of Lohman)
• Thursday, January 12 - Main Street Downtown (Moose Lodge parking lot)
• Tuesday, January 17 - Young Park (at the pavilion)
• Thursday, January 19 - Mesilla Valley Bosque (Avenida de Mesilla south to Calle del Norte, right crossing bridge, entrance to park visible on left)
• Tuesday, January 24 – Former Tee Time building (at Del Rey and Telshor)
• Thursday, January 26 - Mesilla Park Community Center (304 W. Bell, at the park)
• Tuesday, February 7 - Desert Trails Community Park (3492 Sonora Springs Blvd – off Roadrunner Parkway)
• Thursday, February 9 - La Llorona Park (off Picacho at the Rio Grande)
• Tuesday, February 14 - Baylor Canyon (US-70 east to Baylor Canyon Rd. at the trail head)
• Thursday, February 16 - Sam Graft Park (4230 Sedona Hills Parkway)
• Tuesday, February 21 - NMSU track (on the campus of NMSU)
• Thursday, February 23 - Tony Gomez Park (Espina Street and Farney Road)
• Tuesday, February 28 - Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park (US-70 east to Mesa Grande, u-turn to frontage road, frontage road to Jornada Road)
