City of Las Cruces: Fewer City Vehicles Will Save $1 Million

LAS CRUCES- The City of Las Cruces is drastically cutting down the number of city owned vehicles all in an attempt to save money.
City leaders say before reducing the amount of cars, the city had nearly a car for every one of their 1,400 employees. So far, the city has trimmed their fleet by 179 vehicles and City Manager Robert Garza estimates the city will save over $1 million a year.
