EL PASO- City and county leaders unveiled a new state-of-the-art data center in the lower valley today.
It holds all city and county records, including court cases, birth certificates, arrest records, and emails. The files are stored in servers inside this climate-controlled building. County Judge Veronica Escobar says it's saving the city and county millions of dollars.
"We’re the first government in Texas it utilize this modern facility," says Judge Escobar.
The data center was a year in the making. It's a result of talks between the city and the county to share archived records.
