Breast Cancer Survivors Strut Down the Runway in El Paso Fashion Show
EL PASO-A fashion show in downtown El Paso did its part to knock out breast cancer.
The models walking the run-way are breast cancer survivors escorted by family members. The event was put together by Texas Tech this morning at the El Paso Convention Center. All clothing for today's fashion show was provided by Dillard's. Survivors reminded attendants, you never know when someone you love will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
"It is important because this is the way they can show people to come to these kinds of shows, donate to the cause so we can find a cure for the cancer," says Julia Vandenberg, Cancer survivor.
Texas Tech's University Breast Care Center diagnoses one-third of all new Breast Cancer patients in the city and serves uninsured patients.
