EL PASO- Six flights were diverted and several more delayed after a lire jet's tire malfunctioned, causing the runway to close this morning.

A representative for the El Paso Airport confirmed the jet's tire blew out  while on the runway around 11:30 this morning. The four people aboard the flight were uninjured and the airport resumed scheduled flight plans at 1:30.
