You may soon be seeing guns on the UTEP campus. A bill allowing guns on college campuses cleared a committee at the Texas Statehouse and was sent to the House floor. Right now, no firearms are allowed on any state campuses. This measure would let handgun license holders carry their weapons in college classrooms and buildings across Texas.
