EL PASO - An unusual power outage in a part of Downtown El Paso left hundreds of people in the dark.

A balloon knocked out electricity when it came in contact with powerlines at Durango and Overland.

550 customers were left in the dark.

The power went out around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Utility crews restored electricity two hours later.
