Ammunition Amnesty Day in El Paso
Friday, July 9, 2010 - 10:08am

Fort Bliss is hoping to keep ammunition and explosives that have been misplaced or stolen out of the wrong hands by collecting it today in Northeast El Paso.

Today is “Ammunition Amnesty Day,” which means anyone, soldiers or civilians, with unused small arms ammunition and explosives contraband can turn it in without the fear of facing any criminal charges for possessing it.

The collection started at 8:00 this morning and will end at 3:00 this afternoon at the United States Army Reserve Center located at 6400 Dyer Street.

Anyone with questions can call the Ammunition Accountable Officer at 569-9528.
