Ambulance Slams into Jeep, Causes Rollover

EL PASO- Today paramedics rushed two women to the hospital after an ambulance ran a red light and slammed into their Jeep.


The Jeep flipped onto its roof at Montana and Campbell. It happened during the lunch hour. Police at the scene told us the women will be okay. The accident was not related to another emergency.

Police say the ambulance driver was not on a 911 call and was not running his lights or his siren when he entered that intersection. Police ticketed the ambulance driver for causing the crash.

Among those who'd assisted prior to EMS arriving, two Soldiers from "Ready First", 1SBCT 1AD, stationed at Fort Bliss, aided in safely removing the occupants of the vehicle.

One of the women stated she'd been visiting El Paso from California.
