A Lower Valley Road Will Get A Facelift.
The street improvement project will begin for Roseway Drive between New Haven and Zaragosa.
The residents of the lower valley neighborhood have complained for years about the conditions of the road. Bumpy and rough with potholes that damaged cars.
Cobina Jimenez who has driven the road says, " They never repaved it, and ever since I can remember, no sidewalks, no nothing."
City representative Eddie Holguin was on hand to kick start the project with a ground breaking ceremony. The project will repave the road, install gutters, sidewalks and handicap ramps. The construction will cost close to $340,000.
Holguin says, "The eastern part of this street was redone a few years ago."
Residents can expect the same results when this project is completed in late April of this year.
