UTEP softball to host NMSU in fall ball

UTEP softball will play two home games this week, as the Miners will host NM State on Wednesday (7 p.m.) and Midland College on Friday (4 p.m.) at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex.

The Base to hold college athletic seminar

The Base, El Paso’s premiere baseball and softball indoor training facility, will host a Collegiate Athletics Eligibility Seminar on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 7:00pm.

Punt, Pass & Kick this Thursday

The Sun Bowl Association and El Paso Parks and Recreation will hold the annual Price’s Creameries Give ‘Em Five NFL Punt, Pass and Kick on Thursday, Oct. 9, at Sun Bowl Stadium.

Aggie Named WAC Athlete of the Week

Senior cross country runner Hab Rubio was named the Western Athletic Conference men’s Athlete of the Week for Sept. 30 – Oct. 6 after his performance at the Rim Rock Farm Classic on Saturday, Oct. 4.

UTEP Picked Second in Conference

The UTEP men’s basketball team is projected to finish second in Conference USA this season, based on a vote by the league’s head coaches. 

Basketball Begins

The UTEP men's basketball team will have its first official practice of the 2014-15 season on Monday at a time to be determined.

Aggie Golf Underway

The New Mexico State University women’s golf team is tied for third with BYU as both teams scored a combined-team score of 3-over-par 291 in round one of the NM State Invitational at the New Mexico State University Golf Course.

UTEP rifle garners huge score, loses to Nevada

The UTEP rifle team fired its best aggregate score (4580) in three years to open up the 2014-15 season in fine fashion at Nevada Sunday. Nevada finished the day with an aggregate of 4603 to narrowly edge out the Miners.

New Mexico State men’s tennis player Patrick Pfister won a singles’ championship and a doubles’ championship along with partner Strahinja Trecakov during the final day of the Balloon Fiesta Invitational on Sunday.

UTEP nets overtime winner vs Rice

Freshman Jeanna Mullen scored her first career goal (95:37) with a brilliant touch on a header to propel the UTEP soccer team to a 1-0 overtime win against Conference USA co-leader Rice at University Field Sunday afternoon.
