Las Cruces Police Searching For Stabbing Suspect

LAS CRUCES - Police are investigating an armed robbery that ended with a man being stabbed.  It happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday, just south of Apodaca Park.

According to police, the suspect pulled a knife on a 60-year-old man stabbing him several times on his face and arms. The victim was taken to Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim told police that the man who stabbed him took some money from him.

The suspect is believed to be Hispanic with a dark complexion and in his mid-20’s, 5-feet-3-inches tall with a stocky build. He also has short black hair.  He was last seen wearing a white and black plaid shirt, dark gray shorts and a straw-hat.
