Las Cruces Police, FBI Investigate Bank Robbery

LAS CRUCES- Police are on the scene of a bank robbery at a Las Cruces Wells Fargo at 2400 N. Main.

Police were called to the bank shortly after 9 a.m. today after a man walked into the bank and displayed a note that demanded money. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen leaving the bank heading southbound on foot.

The suspect was described as a slender white male in his 50s, with a gray mustache and trimmed beard. Surveillance photos of the suspect show him wearing a gray, long-sleeve New Mexico State University T-shirt and a baseball cap.

The FBI will release additional information as it becomes available.
