Kai Porter joined NewsChannel 9 in January 2008 as a General Assignment Reporter

Previously, Kai worked as an anchor and reporter for EIV (Emerson Independent Video) News in Boston, MA. Before that, he was a reporter with KSFR News radio in Santa Fe, NM. During college he also held an internship at FOX News Channel in New York City.

Originally from Santa Fe, NM, Kai is happy to be back in the Southwest with the warm weather and Mexican food. While he misses Boston, he enjoys getting to know El Paso and meeting new people.
