Comcorp of El Paso is looking for a Part-Time Multimedia Journalist.
As a Multimedia Journalist, the candidate will be responsible for generating, scheduling, shooting, writing, editing, and delivering stories live on air. In addition, the candidate may have to assist in content coordination. We are looking for a team member who has a positive attitude and a strong commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will be a self starter that is able to multi-task and work under the pressure of breaking news and deadlines. In addition, they will have a common grasp on social media and online platforms as daily duties include contributing to station websites and social media pages. An MMJ is also responsible for building a network of contacts and resources and representing the station at promotional and community events.
Previous on-air television experience is required, two years experience preferred.
Journalism degree preferred as media law and journalism basics are critical. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Knowledge of P2 and Edius systems is helpful. Candidate must be able to carry 20-30 lbs.
A valid driver’s license is required as is a good driving record and proof of insurability.
Position is part-time.
