Internationally Recognized Health Officials Visit El Paso
Texas Tech University's Health Sciences Center and the Dartmouth Institute 2012 hosted a conference at the El Paso Museum of Art today. Health care professionals exchanged techniques and approaches to fighting diabetes, cancer and other diseases, to help each other apply what they learn back in their own communities.
Texas Tech's Dr. Charles Miller says border health has worsened in recent years and hopes that Dartmouth can help El Paso develop better ways to fix major public health problems. The team discussed prevention and strategies to help people avoid getting sick in the first place.
