Tuesday, May 29, 2007 - Swapping out steak for soy may help women lower their blood pressure. In a new study, researchers had 60 postmenopausal women follow a healthy diet. However, one group received 25 grams of their daily protein intake from soy nuts - rather than a non-soy food.
They found the women eating soy nuts had lower blood pressure levels at the end of the study. Also, some women who had high cholesterol saw an improvement.
