Planetarium Always A Crowd Pleaser
Monday, June 26, 2006 - The El Paso Independent School District's planetarium is a great place to take a house full of kids looking for something to do this summer. Through June 30th, the center offers two shows daily, at 1:00 and 3:00pm. The hour long show is free of charge to the public. Inside, kids and adults get to see what is almost like a 3D tour of our solar system, and learn about constellations visible in the borderland this time of year. The planetarium will be shut down during the month of July, but parents can arrange a trip during the school year by calling ahead. The planetarium is located at 6531 Boeing Drive, off of Airway and south of the El Paso International Airport. Call (915)779-4160 for more information. |
