Monday, July 10, 2006 — Right now it may look like just a plain grey wall in the middle of Las Cruces, but soon it will have new life and color.  About twenty Las Cruces area kids and teens are working on using the space for a mural with a Mayan theme.  The Mesilla Valley Recreation Center is hosting the art class and project, running from July 10th through August 2nd.

The class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 6pm.  Together they will create, paint, and transform the wall into a masterpiece.  To learn more about the project, contact the Mesilla Valley Recreation Center at (505) 541-2455.
