Suspicious Package Forces Dallas Building Evacuation

UPDATE:  12:44 p.m. A suspicious FedEx package that prompted the evacuation of a downtown Dallas office tower contained papers and police gave the all clear.

DALLAS - Police evacuated a downtown office building after a bomb-sniffing dog smelled something suspicious in a package there.

Workers at One Main Place, 1201 Main St. started leaving the building shortly before 10 a.m.

Police are also blocking off streets in the area.

Companies in the building include CNN, Bank of America, Fox News and several high-tech companies.

The suspicious package was found in the building's basement.

The Dallas Police Department's bomb squad was headed to the building.
