This Time targeting Austin High School

Friday morning Senator Eliot Shapleigh called a press conference to announce more cheating allegations against EPISD.

In recent weeks he's accused district leadders of conspiring to cheat on state TAKS tests by keeping poorly performing students from taking it.

This time Shapleigh's target was Austin High School.

Several teachers spoke out in support of Shapleigh.

The principal of Austin High School was also there making a surprise appearance to speak out against the allegations.

Why is it that Senator Shapleigh continues to ask questions of Austin High School, but Senator Shapleigh FAILS to go to the school to get real answers. Could it be that Austin HS is successful and the senator fails to seek real answers. The real failure is in Shapleigh's media stunt because Shapleigh does not seek the truth.

Why shouldn't the community question the decrease of students from one school year to another. Principals and district official state students might have dropped out or transfered to other school but shouldn't schools and the district do something to keep every student in school. Also my understanding is that schools loose money for every student that drops out or transfers to other schools. I do not hear the schools in question complain about money cuts so maybe they got reward instead.
