its life people we live we die and sadly this lil girl passed away a sad way...and give the driver a break i think she has enough to deal with that she ran over these children...i belive that there is only so much a parent can do to make there childern follow rules.and i belive this was not the first time these childern crossed the street like this i live close to highschool elementry schools an OMG! THESE TEENS AND CHILDERN DO NOT CROSS THE STREET LIKE THEY SHOULD

Not everyone is priviledged to be able to pick up their children after school. Most parents still at work at this time. My thoughts and prayers to Solis family during this difficult time. Drivers, watch for children, especially between 2:45 and 4:30.

All of you people who are blaming the parents are idiots! the girls probably did not have someone to pick them up, the parents probably have to work? do you consider that?? no every child has the luxury of being picked up and dropped off at the front of the school. and blame them for not teaching the kids to cross the road, really? then blame whoever taught that woman how to drive. how could she not see the children you people disgust me.

STREETS ARE FOR VEHICLES NOT FOR CHILDREN TO PLAY. PARENTS ARE NEGLIGENT FOR NOT TEACHING THEIR KIDS HOW TO RESPECT THE STREETS. THIS HAPPENS EVERYWHERE. KIDS THINK THAY HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY AND THEY TAUNT CARS. THIS IS A TRAGEDY, BUT DONT FORGET THAT THE PARENTS ARE REPONSIBLE.

Parents should teach children how to cross the street this could have been avoided. It is truly sad and my condolences go to her family but parents have a talk with your children specially when you know they are walking home from school. Wasnt there adult supervision while this occured?

He had green light but her eyes were only able to see the traffic lights and not the pedestrians? Please that accident could had been avoided if she wouldnt have not being distracted and possibly speeding..

Driver was in a truck, which sits higher than an average vehicle. An average 11 year old and younger are not to tall and maybe at their height along with other moving vehicles and kids standing around made it difficult for the driver to see even in broad daylight. Do you all really think the driver's intentions were to runover and take someone's life? All these attacks on the driver are just unbelievable.

Green light or not she killed a child.

My prayers go out to both the familys, being right or not it's still hard to know you were part of someone loosing their life. I have four boys, One a senior and the other a freshmen I work next to their school(when I say next I mean next) and I drive them to school no matter what, even if I am late I drop them off.

She Should have swirved to the side unless she was speeding or on her phone.

negligence because this happened in broad day light i cant believe she didnt see those poor kids crossing.

I was around the area when I saw the aftermath of this tragic accident and feel that perhaps the driver could have been more cautious while driving on school area. I agree that ppl drive fast while going on Lee Blvd, I've seen it first hand. My heart goes out to the family and pray that they find the strength to get thru this nightmare...God Bless Them..

Upset Mother

Green light or not she saw the kids she should have moved to side or something it was right after school she should have known kids would be walking right im sure there must have been something she could have done

FYI it was at 4:30 school zone ends at 4:00 or 4:30 first of all why would the parents let her walk home alone.

She did move watch the video you will see were she tried to move. If she would have not moved she would have hit all 3 of them.

No charges on the negligent driver

Vehicles are always driving fast on Lee Blvd they try to beat the light. This is a horrible tragedy. I really hope that police truly investigate this accident and utilize the cameras in that area as well to check to see if the driver was on her phone that she was distracted.

Driver had a green light, negligent how? Sadly children often don't pay attention to crosswalks or crossing signals.

True!!
