KOUNTZE, TX - Firefighters are battling the newest wildfire in Texas in Kountze, northeast of Houston.

The U.S. Forest Service hopes to have the 1,600 acre wildfire surrounded by the end of tomorrow.

A flare from a gas well is believed to have sparked the fire.
