Western Day in Timberon

Enjoy a beautiful afternoon in the mountains at Timberon Western Day. Admission is free to the event, which includes Western costume contests for people and dogs, a horseshoe pitching contest, blacksmithing demonstrations, food booths, and arts and crafts vendors. A shaded stage will present bands, duets, a community choir and cowboy poetry. The "jail" will let prisoners pay fines that will benefit the remodeling of the local swimming pool. Herding dogs will show their agility, and bakers show off their pies in a judged competition. A beautiful handmade, pieced quilt will be raffled along with merchandise donated from area businesses. Join us in the cool shade of the 60-foot pine trees on the Lodge lawn in Timberon, and make it back to El Paso in time for fireworks! Sponsored by the Timberon Development Council.
