Winfield Raglin III was born in Omaha\, Nebraska. He moved to Las Cruces\, New Mexico\, in 1986. Raglin recorded as a featured soloist at the age of 13. He then went on to play lead alto saxophone for the New Mexico State University Jazz Ensemble\, a chair which he held through his undergraduate years. He has played with\, and been featured with\, the likes of Greg Gisbert\, Dave Pietro\, John Fedchock\, Byron Stripling\, Tony Campisi\, Ken Walker and John McNeely.
