Event Description

The Senior Adult Program of El Paso Community College, together with the FBI Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association El Paso Chapter, will hold a seminar on “Crimes Against the Elderly” from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday, June 5 at the college’s Administrative Services Center (ASC). The event has been designed for social workers, bankers/tellers, health providers, professionals in aging services, senior caregivers, home health providers, law enforcement and others who need additional information about elder mistreatment, signs of fraud against seniors and signs of abuse and neglect.

Featured speakers include:

Dr. Paul R. Casner, professor of internal medicine, Texas Tech University Dementia as a Risk Factor for Elder Mistreatment

Randy Wolverton, supervisory special agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Washington, D.C.-Senior Citizen Fraud: Criminal Activity Directed at Senior Citizens.
