EL PASO- The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department reminds the public to place their blue recycling bins properly for pickup to ensure that its contents are collected.
Improperly placed bins will not be emptied.
To ensure that bins are accessible to the automated collection trucks and not blocked by obstacles, your blue bins must be placed at least 5 feet away from parked vehicles and at least 3 feet away from the gray trash bin, as well as, all other objects such as mail boxes, utility poles, trees, etc.
Bin placement procedures are intended to prevent injuries and property damage. Collection drivers will not move improperly placed bins.
All bins have an arrow on the top of their lids. The arrow on the lids of the gray and blue bins must point toward the street. Items placed inside each bin must fit in the container with the lid closed.
Bins will not be emptied if their lids are open or if they are improperly placed for pickup.
