EL PASO - Today marks the 9th anniversary of the day when the world directed its attention to New York City.

September 11th united us as a country... and as a community.  The El Paso Fire Department held a tribute downtown this morning to honor the 343 fire fighters lost in the worst terrorist attack executed on U.S. soil.

"We got to remember what happened that day.  The attacks and the people that sacrificed their lives and the innocent victims we lost that day.  We cannot forget their memories and continue with striving to make this a better place," says EPFD Spokesperson John Concha who adds... a group of El Paso Fire Fighters traveled to New York to assist in the recovery efforts.
