Chances are you probably know someone or have heard of someone getting married this Friday, November 11th, 2011-11-11-11.

Having a wedding on the same digit day has become increasingly popular in the past few years. But this year, things are getting a little complicated for some couples because 11-11-11 is also a federal holiday.

"This is, I guess, kind of like a lucky day for people to get married," said From This Moment Wedding Chapel. minister Ruben Escandon Jr,

This Friday, 11-11-11, is going to be a busy day for Ruben.  "For this coming Friday we have 14 weddings already scheduled and we're getting calls for a lot more," said Ruben.

"He’s going to drive around everywhere. He's going to be Speedy Gonzalez," said 11-11-11 groom Eddy Palmer.

One of the couples tying the knot, Eddy Palmer and Danica Salcido, is surprised at the number of couples doing the same.  "We couldn't believe that we had so many. We booked him since May or June and at that time he told us there were only four or five slots," said Danica.

Eddy and Danica wanted to get married at a church, but couldn't because he didn't have his required sacraments.  "They said it would take me about a year just to do everything that I need to get done,"
said Eddy.

And that's exactly why Ruben says he offers this service for those who want an alternative to a church or the courthouse.  “It’s an opportunity for us to serve a lot of people who may be looking for that,” said  Ruben.

Ruben says he has three ministers on hand for 11-11-11 and various locations available for those who were planning to get married at the courthouse on Friday.

"With the courthouse being closed, I think that's going to be the trigger. A lot of people are going to scramble that they planned to get married on this day and they have no idea that the courthouse is closed on Veterans Day," said Ruben.

But he reminds those who want to get married through his chapel to get their licenses on Thursday.

"They need to have their wedding license beforehand and then they bring it to us, so it's an opportunity to have a Vegas-style wedding in El Paso," said Ruben.  "So we're going to probably open up a time slot for walk in weddings. It'll be in the afternoon."

Eddy and Danica are relieved their plans are set and can't wait for their special day.

"Eleven, eleven, eleven November to remember," says Eddy.

The cost for the ceremony starts at $75 dollars. You can get a $60 discount on your marriage license at the courthouse if you take their matrimony course, so your license would cost $12. For more information visit www. elpasoweddings.net
